Abstract

Müzeler öğrenciler için tarihi keşfetmeleri ve geçmişin işlenmemiş verileriyle çalışabilmeleri için uygun ve farklı bir öğrenme ortamı sağlamaktadır. Bu bakımdan öğrencilerin geçmişini tanıyan, sahip çıkan ve koruyan bireyler olarak yetiştirilmesi için müzelerden eğitim-öğretim sürecinde daha aktif bir şekilde faydalanılması kuşkusuz öğrencilere fayda sağlayacaktır. Sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde önemli bir yere sahip olan müzelere dair gençlerin beklentilerinin tespiti ise içinde bulundukları toplumun gelişim çizgisini ve sahip oldukları kültürel değerlerin hangi ölçüde kullanıldığını belirleme noktasında önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Malatya ili Battalgazi ilçesine bağlı Barbaros Ortaokulu’nda öğrenim gören 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin müzelere yönelik beklentilerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Çalışma nitel araştırma metodolojisi esas alınarak tasarlanmış ve bu doğrultuda 2019 yılı Nisan ayı içerisinde belirlenen ortaokulda eğitim gören 32 ortaokul öğrencisinin katılımıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin genel olarak koleksiyon yapmayı sevdikleri, kendilerine ait bir müze olsa orada tarihi eşyaları, hayvan kalıntılarını, kitap ve sinema filmlerini, kıyafetleri, oyuncakları, antika arabaları, eski paraları, gökyüzü, evren ve galaksinin sırrını çözebilecek nesneleri, bıçak, kılıç, silah, top, çakmak ve takılar ile farklı şehirlerin kültürlerine ait nesneleri ve bilim adamlarının 3D profillerini sergilemek istedikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca öğrenciler Malatya’da en fazla Etnografya Müzesi’ni, Türkiye’de Ayasofya ve Dünya’da Louvre Müzesi’ni ziyaret etmek istediklerini belirtmişlerdir. Daha çok savaş araç-gereçlerinin sergilendiği müzeler ile sanat müzelerine gitmek isteyen katılımcılar, formda yer alan görsellerin hangi döneme ait olduğunu belirleme noktasında ise genel olarak doğru tahminlerde bulundukları tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract

Museums provide a convenient and different learning environment for students to explore the history and work with the raw data of the past. In this respect, it will be of benefit to the students to benefit from museums more actively in the education process in order to be educated as individuals, who know, own and protect their past. Determining the expectations of young people about the museums that have an important place in social studies education is important in determining the development line and the cultural values they have. The aim of this study is to reveal the expectations of 8th grade students attending Barbaros Secondary School in Battalgazi, Malatya. The study was designed on the basis of qualitative research methodology and was carried out with the participation of 32 middle school students who were educated in secondary school in April 2019. A standardized open-ended interview form was used to collect the data. Content analysis and descriptive analysis technique were used in the analysis of the data obtained in the study. At the end of the research, the students participating in the study, they like to collect in general, a museum of their own, but there are historical items, animal remains, books and movies, clothes, toys, antique cars, old coins, the sky, the universe and the objects that can solve the secret of the galaxy, blade, sword, guns, balls, lighters and jewellery, objects of different cities and 3D profiles of scientists have been found to exhibit. In addition, students in Malatya most Ethnography Museum, Hagia Sophia in Turkey and stated that they want to visit the Louvre museum in the world. It was determined that the museums in which the war tools and materials were exhibited and the participants who wanted to go to the art museums, and that the visuals in the form were generally accurate in determining the period in which they belonged.
