Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine university students’ perceptions, suggestions and evaluations on the quality assurance system in education and training. The study, designed as a descriptive survey model, was carried out with the participation of 210 students in the quantitative phase and 30 students in the qualitative phase in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year at a state university. Convenience sampling method was used in sample selection. A questionnaire, composed of closed ended and open ended questions, was used as a data collection tool. According to the findings of the study, it is evident that perceptions of students about quality assurance system in education and training are positive. In addition, students evaluated the quality assurance system of their university as “strong aspect” or “aspect open to be developed”, thus they expressed their positive and negative views.
