Investigating Educational Research Articles (1980-2014) in terms of Bibliometric Indicators
 
Abstract
Research in the field of education is growing more rapidly than ever before. However, the educational research literature still lacks an actual comprehensive view for current status of educational research. The aim of this survey study, in which data mining has been used, is to find out bibliometric analysis results related to educational research covering WOS articles between 1980 and 2014 (156.689 articles) in order to gain a comprehensive point of view about the current status of educational research in the world. Results of the study point out which subjects come into prominence, which countries have the most contribution to educational research, which publications have the most impact, which journals are the top in educational research.
