Abstract

This study was planned with the aim of determining the magnitudes of teachers' perceived classroom management skills by gender. In this study, meta-analysis method was used to find out teachers' level of showing their classroom management skills by gender. This method was preferred since it allows reaching a conclusion based on more than one study about a particular topic. The effect of gender on teachers' classroom management skills reveals that women have higher classroom management skills than men. Classroom management skills appear to be quite low in relation to gender (d = 0.09). These results suggest that the gender seems to have an insignificant (very low) effect size quite close to zero (indifference point). In terms of percentile, there seems to be a difference of about 9% (male 46% versus female 55%).
