Predictors Of Childhood Trauma Experiences With Trait Anger And Anger Expression Styles And Some Variables

Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to determine the predictive power of childhood traumatic experiences of high school students in terms of continuous anger and anger expression styles and some variables. There are 460 students (262 female, 198 male) attending to the 10th, 11th and 12th grades in the research. The data obtained from the students were tested by Pearson Moments Multiplication Correlation and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. Grade repetition, working out of school time, difficulty in Anger Control, being a member of a low-income family and having any chronic illness explain significantly 14.5% of the variance of Emotional Abuse and Emotional Neglect. Anger outburst, working out of school time, having any chronic illness, low academic achievement, and being a member of a low-income family explain significantly 18.1% of the variance of Physical Abuse. Receiving disciplinary punishment, gender (male), low academic achievement, working out of school time and Anger Out explain significantly 22.4% of the variance of Sexual Abuse. The findings were handled in the light of literature and various suggestions were made.
