This study aimed to reveal how the social support of individuals perceived from environment and life styles differentiate their goals of computer/internet usage and time spent on computer/internet. The study sample consisted of 303 individuals. Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support and Lifestyles Inventory were used to examine social support and life style of the participants. The findings revealed that social support and life style is related to both time spent on the computer/internet and the manner of computer/internet use. It was identified that individuals especially perceive high level of social support tend to use internet less. In addition, the lifestyles of individuals they adopted leaded to a variation on their internet usage habits and the purpose of use of the internet.
