This study is aimed to identify the metaphors that primary school students used their perceptions in description for respect and the scientific value.In data collection and the interpretation process were used phenomenology design is one of the qualitative research methods. In the first semester of 2014-2015 academic year was made application with 4, 5, 6 and 7. grade students in 5 primary school in Kırşehir. Activity papers obtained from 207 girls and 195 boys a total of 402 student were included to the study. "The Metaphor Survey Of Students For Respect And Scientific Value" which was developed by researchers based on releated research is used in the process of collecting data. Activity papers of 371 students involved in the study are listed according to the sequence number with their metaphors and reasons. The 5 activity papers from a total of 31 application form eliminated in this study because not checked and 26 of them because it does not contain the complete any metaphor were excluded from the research. 6 different conceptual categories for scientific and 4 different conceptual categories for respect were created by students. Students made up the most eye metaphor (56 metaphor, % 15.7) regarding the value of respect. Students also made up the most brain metaphor (28 metaphor, % 9.15) regarding the value of scientific. When examined metaphor developed by students for the scientific value, is observed the abstract metaphors such as “curiosity, diligence, thought, patience” which includes in metaphors category "for being characteristic" mostly.
