Abstract

Increasing of the world population and unlimited human needs lead to rapid depletion of limited natural resources. Sustainable design approach is determined as a solution to environmental problems which are triggered by this depletion and proposes various solutions to different conditions. Therefore, nowadays, buildings have begun to be designed as sustainable. However, to design sustainable buildings is not in itself a solution. Sustainability should exceed beyond designing structures. And, it should be internalized as a lifestyle. Individuals’ consciousness level to protect the life resources of future generations is accepted as a way to succeed of the sustainability studies. The school buildings are places where the new generation aware of this matter. Therefore, school buildings have a great importance in comparison with other structures.
