Elementary education course books have been distributed free of charge by the Ministry of Education since 2005/2006 academic year. These course books are revised every year and prepared again with minor corrections. In this research, teachers were asked about their viewpoints on the final states of the course books that are revised and renewed every year. Thus, course books prepared according to the new teaching program were analyzed, aiming that the deficiencies in the books would be detected and so it would be found out how to apply the program more effectively and efficiently. Additionally, it was tried to find answers to the questions of the latest state of the books and to what extend the books would be compensating for the needs. Looking at the results of the research in general, we can conclude that elementary school teachers are mostly satisfied with the changes made in the books but teachers are not satisfied for example length of texts. And this indicates that the reviews and changes made in the books are not sufficient although they are suitable to their goals. So the reviews and changes made in the books are not sufficient although they are suitable to their goals. Beside that available teacher guidance books are insufficient in satisfying the teachers’ needs. In order to apply the program more effectively and efficiently, the teaching methods in the books should be diversified, the number of activities and their contents should be revised and the questions prepared in accordance with various goals should be reviewed
