Attitude can be described as a feature that is an indicator of individual’s point of view and feelings towards a subject and that motivates him/her to behave in a positive or negative way. The aim of the research is to analyze attitudes of the students who are studying in Turkish Language Teaching department towards teaching profession in terms of socio-demographic features. Students who are studying in Turkish Language Teaching departments of the universities in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2009-2010 academic years constitute population of the study. Result of the study presented that attitudes of the students of Turkish Language Teaching departments towards teaching profession are positive in general. It is determined that attitudes of the students of Turkish Language Teaching departments towards teaching profession differentiate significantly in terms of gender, situation of being satisfied in their department, their parents’ attitudes towards them, desire to become a teacher and do not differentiate significantly in terms of grade, mother’s attitude towards them, income variables.
