In this study, it is aimed to determine the sensitivity of geography teacher candidates’ views about environment problems and environment education. Totally 122 geography teacher candidates at University of Gazi, Geography Teaching Department participated in the study in 2009-2010 academical year, spring term. İbiş (2009) data gathering tool scale developed by Karadayı (2005) was used. In the analysis of the datum, frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation were used. According to the results of the analysis, geography teacher candidates realize the point of “wasting and unconscious use of natural resources” as the most important environment problem in Turkey and in the world and the most influential group in solving the environment problem is “educators” and environment education should be given in “pre school education period”. As a result of the research it is understood that geography teacher candidates’ social and academic sensitivity about environment problems and environment education is extremely high
