This research aims to determine the awareness of democracy of teacher candidates according to various variables. Within the frame of purpose, Democratic Awareness Scale, developed by Akan (2011), is applied on 248 teacher candidates training in the district of Kayseri. The collected data are analyzed by carrying out the t-test, one-way variance analysis, and TUKEY test. At the end of the analyze, it was identified that, in the democratic awareness level, gender, class level, and point averages were at the average level, that there was not a significant difference among the groups, but that there was a significant difference in terms of department and place of residence. The results of the research were discussed in the previous studies. Suggestions were developed according to the results.
