People tend to turn towards virtual environments as technology develops. They have started to use social media accounts more than face-to-face communication. This causes negative attitudes e.g., lack of communication, anxiety, misunderstanding, and academic failure among people. Thus, this study was carried out to determine social media’s influence on individuals. The study method is the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The study group consists of 300 students studying at the Faculty of Education in Fırat University. Of the participants, 80 are female and 220 are male. The data was collected through the personal information form which aims to collect information about the gender of the participants, how many hours they spend on social media per day, and the social media account they actively use.
