Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the resilience in education in line with the opinions and experiences of teachers working in the region after the earthquakes that occurred in ten provinces based in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023 and to develop innovations and suggestions for strengthening resilience within the scope of the normalizing and curative role of education. The research is within the scope of qualitative research and is patterned with descriptive case study. The teachers participating in the research were selected according to the maximum diversity sampling and the data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. Content analysis technique was applied to analyze the data. As a result of the research; the problems experienced by teachers working in the earthquake zone during and after the earthquake process, the difficulties they face and the solutions they have developed, as well as suggestions and expectations aimed at increasing the resilience of education to natural disasters have been revealed.
